War Cache – Introducing New Equipment and Consumables
Version 1.8 introduces a temporary new feature called “War Cache”. Essentially, this is an item-distribution system that will dish out a wide range of new equipment types and consumables that haven’t been available before. These new consumables and equipment are tailored specifically to the needs of the airplane class that they’re meant to be used on and have a significant impact on flight characteristics while active. You will not be able to purchase any of the new consumables or equipment pieces in the Depot.
In order to obtain them, you will have to first accomplish a set of specific events that are listed in the War Cache menu. By completing those players can earn tokens - a new, special in-game currency. These Tokens can then be redeemed in the War Cache menu for special prizes, including the new equipment, unique paint schemes, emblems and discounts on Tier III-VII Premium aircraft. Lastly, you will also be able to use these Tokens either obtain the new Premium Tier VIII planes for free, or to purchase them at a significant discount in exchange for your amassed Tokens.
- Tokens:
- Prizes for participation in the event:
- Tokens earned and purchased for gold during the event can be used for the purchase of Premium aircraft of Tier VIII.
- You will only be able to earn these Tokens during the 12-day War Cache event:
- During this time, you will be able to receive two free tokens every 24 hours for simply logging into the game.
- Beyond that, you will be rewarded with Tokens for accomplishing the special War Cache missions.
- It will be possible to purchase tokens for gold. The exchange rate is: 1 token = 50 gold.
- Our “Wheel of Fortune” in the War Cache menu will dish out prizes up to four prizes at random for each spin. One spin will cost one token.
- By spinning the wheel you’ll be able to pick up the new types of equipment and consumables (which will be temporarily unavailable for purchase).
- Unique paint schemes and emblems (which will be unavailable for purchase).
- Discounts for purchasing Premium Tier III-VII aircraft.
Plane Birthdays
From now on, at specific times, each of your planes will celebrate ‘birthdays’ earning you additional rewards. There will be a birthday one month, three months, six months, nine months and every 12 months after you’ve purchased an aircraft. The ‘birthday gifts’ will be varied ranging from free XP to credits and emblems. Some rewards will unlock immediately, some only after completing a set battles or wins. Expect a more detailed explanation of this feature on the portal in the days to come.

Germany
- Me P.1092 — the aircraft’s weapons have been readjusted in order to be used in short bursts; this was achieved by making them overheat quicker and by significantly prolonging their corresponding cool-down duration. Hit points and manoeuvrability have been decreased, as well as the impact that the top configuration has on the plane’s flight characteristics.
- Me P.1101 — the aircraft’s weapons have been readjusted in order to be used in short bursts; this was achieved by making them overheat quicker and by significantly prolonging their corresponding cool-down duration. Hit points and manoeuvrability and boost duration have all been decreased.

Increased Control Responsiveness
We have implemented a client-side flight simulation (client-side physics). It runs alongside the server-side calculations, making an aircraft’s response to player actions faster and timelier. The system is designed to reduce the impact of network delays on game physics and control. If client-side calculations are found to become inconsistent with the server-provided data, the game client gradually adjusts the aircraft’s position according to the server’s calculations. The new feature can be enabled by clicking the checkbox ‘Increased Control Responsiveness’ in the Game tab of the Settings screen.
Markers
Default player's nicknames in alt-mode display were brought back to the Markers settings.
Training Room
- Auto-Fill with Bots command now works differently, most notably that upon pressing the button, all previously added bots no longer get removed and rather stay available for the game.
