Starting with the release of update 1.8, for the next 12 days, we’re holding a special event called “War Cache”. It is, essentially, a goodie distribution venture, which rewards your trying to complete dedicated missions with a new currency – tokens.
These tokens can then be used to spin our own World of Warplanes “Fortune Wheel”, which will dish out one to four bonuses with each attempt. The interesting part is that these bonuses will mostly be comprised of completely new items that you can’t obtain any other way (some until the event has finished, some not at all). So not only will you be able to win crazy amounts of goodies for free, but you’ll also get to use them before anybody else does!

Here’s How It Will Work
- Every day of the event, upon login, you will receive two free tokens.
- Additionally, if you complete any of the 22 available War Cache missions, you will be able to earn more tokens.
- Completing the primary objective of one mission unlocks the following one.
- The mission rewards are designed in a way that if you log in every day of the event and manage to complete all of the primary and secondary objectives of each mission, you’ll be able to win enough tokens to get one of the new Tier VIII Premiums for free!
- However, no need to fret if you don’t manage to get there. Every token you collect, will let you spin the “Wheel of Fortune” one additional time, granting you tons of other exclusive items!
- Should you come short of tokens, but really want another spin of the wheel or maybe complete the necessary amount for a Tier VIII Premium aircraft, you’ll be able to purchase additional tokens for gold.
- Tokens can only be won or acquired for gold. One token equals 50 gold.
- After the event, the War Cache menu will disappear. You will be compensated for whatever tokens you have left at that point. The amount and type of compensation will be announced at a later point when we’re closer to the end of the event.
- Use your time well and earn as many tokens as possible! The more you earn, the more items (including the Tier VIII Premiums themselves) you can unlock either at a great discount or for free!
- Note also that some of the items, such as the bonus paint schemes and nose art distributed during War Cache will be exclusive! You won’t be able to purchase them from the in-game paint shop once the event has terminated, so take advantage while you can!
