Our recent analysis of the 2014 stats has shown that Soviet aircraft are the second most-popular planes on the European server, accounting for just about a quarter of all warbirds on the battlefield. Despite that, the nation sometimes gets a bad rep for being a bit too one-dimensional. This may be due to the fact that, traditionally, in World of Warplanes, the Soviets are most commonly associated with their legendary Attack Aircraft line. However, their tech tree is actually the biggest in the game, featuring many other types of equally interesting plane classes such as their versatile Multirole Fighters and numerous Fighters. During this weekend’s special, we’ll discount some of the most exciting examples of these other Soviet branches so you can discover their merit for yourself.
