We’re really happy that World of Warplanes has finally gone live. The eSports team didn’t want you to spend all your time grinding away on low tier planes and came up with a great idea. As we want everyone to participate in the fight for the right to be called the ace of the skies, we’re going to give every single one of you an equal chance!

The World of Warplanes server has been stripped clean and everyone has an equal opportunity. Don’t waste your chance, as this may be the easiest way to get you and your friends into eSports! Buckle up and get your planes ready.

The tournament will be run just like the previous iterations during the open beta test, with signups occurring on forums and teams playing in training rooms. There is also fame and glory up for grabs, as the final will be streamed live with commentary from our eSports team!

The flight is well worth the effort, as there is loads of gold to be won! You’ll be able to spend the gold on World of Warplanes and World of Tanks premium content. All those planes and tanks are just waiting to be bought!

December 1st, starting at 19:00 CET (UTC+1)

Third game day – 2 rounds

December 5th, starting at 19:00 CET (UTC+1)

Final (with live stream) – 3 rounds

December 8th, starting at 19:00 CET (UTC+1)

 

Plane Limitations:
  • Planes must not be higher than Tier II during the first game day or higher than Tier III during the following game days.
  • Total tier points for a team must not exceed 8 points in the first game day or exceed 12 points during the following game days.
  • No specific planes are prohibited.

 

Players:
  • The main standing team must consist of 4 players, and may include up to 2 registered reserve players. This means that the team roster may include a maximum total of 6 players.

 

Victory Conditions:
  • Each battle lasts for 10 minutes.
  • The first and second days are played in the single elimination Bo3 format.
  • To win a game, the team will need to destroy all enemy planes or win by superiority. The winner is determined by the system.
  • If a match ends in a draw, the teams will play a bonus game (rematch). Planes can be re-picked, map sides will be changed, teams can swap players for reserves, etc.
Maps: 

The first round will be played on the Harbour map.

All following rounds will be played on the following maps:

  • Harbour
  • El Halluf
  • National Park
  • Pacific
