Silver Wing: 4 x 4

The Silver Wing tournament series is coming to the pinnacle moment as we approach the release of World of Warplanes! We’ve been systematically increasing the tiers of the Silver Wing tournament up to the last tier VII edition. If you’d like to know how it went, you can read our short recap of the finals!

This time, however, we’re again dropping the tier limit to tier IV. This special edition of the Silver Wing tournament is dedicated to every World of Warplanes fan out there. If you’ve got three buddies to form your team, you can and should give it a go!

Please bear in mind that each “day” may consist of more than one round! The amount of rounds per day will be posted for your information in the proper forum thread.

Plane Limitations: 

• Planes must not be higher than Tier IV
• No specific planes are prohibited.
• Total tier points for a team must not exceed 16 points.

Players: 

• The main active team must consist of 4 players, and may include up to 2 registered reserve players. This means that the team roster may include a total of 6 players.
• There are 64 team slots for this tournament, so sign up fast!

Victory Conditions: 

• Each battle lasts for 10 minutes.
• Tournament format: Double Elimination.
  • After the first round, the tournament tree is separated into two brackets - one for winners and one for losers. All the winning teams play in single elimination against each other, as do the losers. A loss in the winners’ bracket means the team drops into the losers’ bracket. A loss in the losers’ bracket means elimination from the tournament. This format gives teams a chance for a comeback after losing a match.
• To win a game, the team will need to destroy all enemy planes or win by superiority. The winner is determined by the system.
• If a match ends in a draw, the teams will play a bonus game (rematch). Planes can be re-picked, map sides will be changed, teams can swap players for reserves, etc..

Maps: 

• All rounds will use the following pool of maps:
• Plateau, Lighthouse, El Halluf, National Park
