On this fateful day in 1945, the Allies formally accepted the surrender of armed forces by the Germans. Celebrations kicked off all over the globe as people came out to celebrate the end of Europe's war. Even Queen Elizabeth II, then of course a princess, was allowed to roam the streets unrecognised. 

Warplanes and their pilots played a huge part in the war of course, so it is only fitting we throw our own huge celebration in World of Warplanes!
