Pilots!
Gaming against Cancer's annual fundraiser is about to kick off and will once again keep you entertained throughout November with exciting streams and action on Twitch and YouTube. Tune in and donate to a good cause.
Fallen13, a long-time member of the Wargaming community, launched the "Gaming gegen Krebs" (Gaming against Cancer) charity in 2018 to help people diagnosed with cancer and support animal-assisted therapy through "Emma Hilft." The therapy service, which uses specially trained dogs, is funded entirely by donations, and the annual charity drive plays a key role in securing the service for another year.
This is the sixth time he and his team have collected donations for the Oncological Palliative Care Unit at the Horst-Schmitt-Klinik in Wiesbaden, the third year for the Lebensbrücke Hospice in Flörsheim, and the second time for the Palliative Care Unit at the Sana Klinikum in Offenbach.
Some will surely remember this campaign from the last years. Thanks to your support and with the generous help of "Alltagshelden sind sexy," over €53,000 were collected in 2022. Half of the funds went to "Die Deutsche Gesellschaft" für Palliativmedizin e.V., which handles the donations earmarked for "Emma Hilft", and the other half to the association "Tröstende Pfoten - Therapiebegleithunde für Deutschland e.V.".
We want to encourage you to donate once again this year.
If you would like to participate, please click on the following button to get directly to the donation account.

When donating, you have the choice to support the donation platform. This is optional, which means the amount for betterplace.org can be set to 0 if desired.
A direct donation isn't the only way to support the campaign.
Various German content creators from World of Tanks, World of Warships, World of Warships: Legends, and World of Warplanes have joined the donation drive. They have teamed up with "Gaming gegen Krebs". From November 1 to December 1, they will be streaming fantastic Tanks, Ships, and Planes action on their channels to promote the good cause.
Tune in for great entertainment, ask your questions about the charity, win prizes, and most importantly, donate!
The following streamers have already announced their support:
Check out the official Gaming gegen Krebs website for an up-to-date rundown of all streamers and stream times.
Additionally, some Wargaming employees won't miss the chance to drop by streams, such as Das_Wiesel_WeaselY4 from WoT, El_Fruchtini from WoWs, and Sehales from World of Warships Legends.
All of the streams will also be accompanied by Fallen13 and his team (Atlan, rxzp8, Simlock, Zhenwu, Suistar7, and Kimi). They will be happy to answer any further questions you may have about the donation drive and will, of course, be joining the fun themselves!
On November 18, there will be a very special stream on the Twitch channel of Seakrauts and Philstifty, as well as on the official Gaming Against Cancer Twitch channel. Ivana Seger from "Emma Hilft" will stop by and personally answer your questions about animal-assisted therapy, the Gaming against Cancer campaign, her dogs, and anything else you might be interested in. Of course, she will not be alone but will also bring one or two of her dogs.

In palliative care, the focus is not on healing and prolonging life but on maintaining the quality of life, relieving pain, eliminating other discomforts, and providing care and closeness.
This is where animal-assisted therapy comes in, intending to improve mental well-being and promote communication. The presence of specially trained animals creates a relaxed and calming atmosphere. The animal can provide comfort, act as a mediating medium to facilitate communication between all parties involved, and thus also help with the grieving process.
