“The Battle of France is over. The Battle of Britain is about to begin.”

July 10th marks the 77th anniversary of the beginning of the Battle of Britain, the aerial campaign fought over the United Kingdom as the RAF defended the country from Luftwaffe forces for almost four months.

Strategic and terror bombing was employed by Luftwaffe pilots as Germany attempted to force Britain into a surrender. Aerial battles raged for months and claimed the lives of tens of thousands of civilians, before the RAF achieved air superiority and drove them back. Honouring the pilots who defended their nation, Prime Minister Winston Churchill stated that “never in the field of human conflict was so much owed by so many to so few.”

In these latest missions, we encourage you to honour ‘The Few’ and mark the anniversary of the beginning of one of WWII’s most crucial battles!
