Portal Update: What’s new?

You may have noticed that the World of Warplanes portal has just received a new lick of paint. It’s more than just aesthetic touches though as the portal is now more dynamic and informative than ever. Here is a brief overview of the new layout and features:

Individual Aircraft Galleries

Our love of military aviation has led us to creating a personalised gallery for every plane. Better still, you can download the featured image as a wallpaper by selecting the size you want from the drop down menu (see the screenshot below). These individual galleries also contain all the key stats and information that might be useful when planning your next step in the Tech Trees.

These galleries also contain a breakdown of the modules and links to the next planes in the Tech Tree. Just click on “Module upgrades” and see the next steps in the path as well as information on how much XP is required to unlock them.

Nation Tech Trees

In the Warplanes tab you can now click on the “Nations and Aircraft” option. Select the nation you wish to view from the drop-down down menu and see the whole Tech Tree spread out before you. Now you can plot your route to your favourite plane, even if you’re unable to sign-in to the game.

New tabs in the Warplanes section

The Warplanes tab of the portal is now a hive of activity. You will see three new subsections:“Nations and Aircraft”, “Compare aircraft” and “History”. These are all handily located at the top of the screen, giving you easy access to a variety of content across the portal.
