We have America to thank for the world of aviation as we know it today, with Orville and Wilbur Wright pioneering the invention and creation of the world’s first successful aircraft. The industry has come on leaps and bounds since then, but sometimes it’s nice to learn about more humble beginnings.
In this week’s bundle, there’s a blast from the past with the Curtiss F11C-2. This warbird was built for the U.S. Navy in the early 1930s, and packs more of a punch than your traditional biplane! It’s joined by the Lockheed XP-58 Chain Lightning, a swift and terrible sword that’s more than capable of raining some hell from above!
