Pilots,
In World of Warplanes the outcome of dogfights is so often determined by who can turn quicker, roll faster or bank more swiftly. When it comes to this kind of nimbleness nobody can disagree that, on paper, the Soviet Yak line sports some of the most manoeuvrable planes that we have in the game to date. Taking a look at their stats, you can’t help but be impressed by how significantly they beat their same-tier fighter rivals, with manoeuvrability values of up to 70 points higher than the competition.
However, despite being destined to be every ‘Turn and Burn’-enthusiast’s dream aircraft, few players have actually tried the Yak to see its superior performance in action. Today, we intend to right that wrong by shining a light on this prolific line of planes and making it the star of an extra-long two-week special. Get to know the Yaks and we promise that you’ll learn to love them!
Here are the bonuses that you can look forward to in the game during the special:
50% discount on the following planes:
Discover the Yaks for yourself at a price so cheap that any less would practically be stealing!
30% discount on the following planes:
Soviet Tier VI Fighter Yakovlev Yak-9
Soviet Tier VI Fighter Yakovlev Yak-1M
Soviet Tier VII Fighter Yakovlev Yak-9U
Soviet Tier VII Fighter Yakovlev Yak-3
When you’ve had your first taste of the Yak and want more to satisfy your appetite, then this little discount should have you covered.
The special will run from Monday 20th January at 07:00 until Monday 3rd February at 06:30 CET (GMT+1).
To get off to a good start with the Yak planes, you can check them out in the Encyclopedia and compare them to other aircraft of their class. Additionally, you can take a look at our History Spotlight article, where we give helpful tips on setup and performance of the first model in the pack, the Yak-1.
Get to your planes and start Yak-ing up those takedowns, pilots!
