Between Friday and Sunday, 23–25 May, thousands of fans of all things military attended the International Military Festival 2014 on motorway 52 just south of Budapest, Hungary.
Wargaming was there too! World of Tanks Community Product Specialist Obirian and Community Manager Brynd attended the WoTHungary.hu tent from the late morning to early evening on Saturday, 24 May.
Unusually for spring, temperatures soared beyond 30 degrees Celsius and everyone attending the festival got more than their fair share of strong sunlight. Our usually pale and freckly Community Manager Brynd came back to our Paris office bright red!

We provided the WoTHungary.hu tent with a few dozen fully-unlocked, World of Tanks and World of Warplanes accounts which provided access to every tank and plane in each game. Wargaming fans and newcomers could choose to play with any tank or plane their heart desired!
During our time at the event, Obirian and Brynd spent time answering player questions about World of Tanks and our other released and upcoming Wargaming projects.
Around midday, Brynd and Obirian brought out thousands of free World of Tanks goodies, including limited edition Community T-shirts, bonus tank codes, and key rings. We ended up generating a queue a couple of hundred metres long!

In just over an hour our entire stock of goodies had been completely depleted! We hope you enjoyed them if you got them but we’re sorry if you missed out!
We had a fantastic time visiting Hungary, attending the military festival, distributing freebies and talking with players (and checking out the beautiful capital, Budapest, of course!). Thank you to Cleverland and the WoTHungary.hu team, as well as their partners, for inviting us to attend the festival. We look forward to the next time we can visit Hungary and meet with other Hungarian Wargaming fans.
Köszönjük, hogy Magyarországon lehettünk! Hamarosan találkozunk!
Thank you, Hungary! See you soon!
