Package “P-39Q-15 Airacobra”
|
This capable Tier VI fighter is of American design. The plane has been used all over the world and is represented in the game in its Soviet version. Its outstanding qualities are speed and manoeuvrability which are both on a par with the two other American fighters of its tier in their stock version. However, what sets it apart is the fact that it comes pre-equipped with a 37mm cannon that raises its firepower to an impressive 165 points. Although this cannon's firing rate is quite low, it packs enough punch to rip even the heaviest of heavy fighters apart without much effort. If you're able to deal with a slightly more fragile hull, you'll get an impressive fighter that's a lot of fun to play. |

Package “Spitfire V DB 605” |
A German Spitfire? Now, you may say 'that's sacrilege!' but we recommend that you at least give this plane a try before you declare it a heresy! This unusual German plane stems from a captured British Spitfire that was fitted with a powerful Daimler Benz engine. As such, it features a motor with 300 h.p. more than the British equivalent has in its stock version. The modification allows for a greater optimum airspeed and higher altitude performance on the German model. Additionally, the Premium version comes equipped with the strong 20mm Hispano Mk.II (W) cannon, which you would have had to unlock first on the British Spitfire. This additional punch of 52 firepower points comes at the expense of a slightly weaker hull, which balances out the Spitfire V DB 605 nicely. Try this plane if you've always wanted to combine German engineering with British elegance! |

Package “XP-50” |
This unusual-looking plane only existed as a prototype and never actually entered service. In World of Warplanes, it is the fastest heavy fighter in its tier by quite a significant margin. It also features superior manoeuvrability that compensates for the fact that it can't climb quite as well as its same-tier competitor, the P-38J. Players who are not too fond of the typical sniping by heavy fighters will have a lot of fun with the XP-50, whose guns are of a smaller calibre and deliver the best results at mid-to-close range. The ability to strap on bombs makes the aircraft a complete package, capable of hunting lightweight airborne prey, as well as going for the heavier, ground targets. |

Package “Ki-88” |
The Kawasaki Ki-88 was supposed to be the Japanese answer to the U.S. P-39 Airacobra. As such, it features a similar build with a high-calibre 37mm cannon as its main weapon and a lower-calibre gun for long-range support. This gives the Ki-88 almost twice the firepower of its same-tier colleague, the A6M5, which is far more manoeuvrable but needs a very good aim to deal any kind of serious damage. With the Ki-88 you don't have to be as precise and can trust in your superior punch during close air-to-air engagements. Another advantage of the Ki-88 is its ability to cruise higher than other planes of its class. This will come in especially handy against the high-rising German fighters, which will be a bit easier to chase down in the Kawasaki Ki-88. |

Package “Mustang I” |
This is the British predecessor to the famous American P-51A that you can find in the U.S. tech tree. It was built at the request of the Royal Air Force and was a very advanced design for its time. Its airspeed, manoeuvrability and optimum altitude are all above average and make the Mustang I a very mobile fighter. However, despite a total of 8 guns (which are all of a pretty low calibre), the Mustang I doesn't offer a lot of firepower. Nonetheless, it is still stronger than what the U.S. P-51 equivalent can offer in its stock version and, since you'll be matched up against the same tiers, you should have an early advantage when using this Premium aircraft. |
