Pilots,
Today marks a new milestone in World of Warplanes development! The most recent game update has introduced the ability for players to fully customise the modules on the various aircraft in their Hangar. This feature comes in addition to a number of historically accurate preset module configurations implemented in the previous game update during the summer.
Thanks to this update, testers can now really play to their strengths and choose between additional manoeuvrability, increased offensive qualities and massive ground attack capabilities. Furthermore, visual customisation options have also been added, allowing players to select their own warplane camouflage and nose art combinations!
We are continuing to flesh out the in-game economy and research systems, and this patch brings new mechanics for daily gold accrual, the ability to test out some Premium features, and options for using gold to convert into credits or to turn normal experience into free experience.
Additionally, with each update to the game, we’re increasing the scope and coverage of the tutorial and training missions available. There are now four separate lessons, each focusing on a different aspect of the game. We are also adding new maps to the pool (our new map ‘Lighthouse’ was recently featured in a full photo spread on the European forums), and increasing the usability and functionality of all aspects of the game UI, including a new option to compare the flight characteristics of different aircraft and module set-ups.
As development continues, tester numbers are steadily increasing on a daily basis. So, if you’re still waiting for acceptance into the Closed Beta, stay tuned to our website portal and forums and hopefully you’ll be joining our army of testers in the near future.
See you in the skies!
