The Hawker Hurricane IID is a British warplane, and like the savage storm its name derives from, it carries the potential to leave devastation in its wake on the field of battle. It was developed in 1941 as a specialised anti-tank aircraft, providing crucial air support against German tanks. The No 6 Squadron was so effective at this particular task that their Hurricanes were all emblazoned with an emblem of a winged can-opener.
