Pilots!
After a long run of 11 episodes during the first season of “Follow The Leader”, we decided to stir things up a bit in order to make this already very popular video contest even more appealing. While the basics of the competition remain the same, we decided to expand some of its rules, which should both facilitate participation and add some new flavour to the old format!
You still need to take an aircraft and attempt to reproduce the manoeuvres shown to you in our accompanying video. However, for the new season, you’ll now have to be not only the best but also the fastest! While the accuracy of your flight will still matter, we’re now also taking into account the time that each pilot needed to finish their run, rewarding those who are both precise and speedy!
In return for the additional degree of difficulty, we’re increasing the prize pool to reward you even more generously for your daring submissions!
The pilot who submits the video that shows the fastest and most accurate recreation of the manoeuvres of the contest wins first place and will be rewarded with 6,000 Gold!
All following places will be ranked by the time that it took the respective pilots to complete the contest run and will be rewarded with varying amounts of Gold, from 5,000 Gold for the runner-up to 1,000 Gold for the player coming in last.
As before, we will also reward your most spectacular botched attempts or most notable submissions for the most challenging assignments with 1,000 and 5,000 Gold respectively.
Thanks to the newly introduced Replay feature of Version 1.2, you are no longer required to upload your submissions to YouTube to participate.
To enter, now all you need to do is send an email to tryrepeat@wargaming.net and include the replay-file showing your run through the contest course. Be sure to send your email before 8th April and include the following information in the subject of your message:
Once the competition is over, the top clips will be compiled into a new video that will also include the next manoeuvre for you to attempt!
Finally, although you don’t technically need to upload your attempts to YouTube anymore to participate in the contest, you can, of course, still continue to do so. Don’t hesitate to share your successful attempts or spectacular fails on your favourite social network or our own community forums. Who knows? You might make a name for yourself and even earn the reputation of being the biggest “Follow the Leader” daredevil out there!
Best of luck, pilots!
