One of the most remembered battles of WWII is undoubtedly the Battle of Berlin. By April 1945, Berlin had become the last bastion of Nazi Germany which saw itself surrounded from both the east and west by Allied and Soviet forces. The Soviet-led offensive on the city began on 20th April and advanced quickly from the south and east in an inwards direction. It was faced by fierce but ultimately ineffective resistance from an, at that point, depleted German army. The battle ended with the unconditional surrender of Nazi Germany on 2nd May and paved the way for Victory in Europe Day (VE-Day) which was proclaimed shortly after.

Missions

Mission 1: Battle for Berlin I
Goal Destroy at least one Soviet aircraft in a battle playing in standard battle mode.
Reward +20% XP for the battle
Conditions
  • Only battles on aircraft of Tier III or higher count for the mission
  • Must be flying German aircraft

 

Mission 2: Battle for Berlin II
Goal Destroy at least one German aircraft in a battle playing in standard battle mode.
Reward +20% XP for the battle
Conditions
  • Only battles on aircraft of Tier III or higher count for the mission
  • Must be flying Soviet aircraft

 

Mission 3: Battle for Berlin III
Goal Destroy at least one Soviet and one German aircraft in a battle playing in standard battle mode.
Reward +30% XP for the battle
Conditions
  • Only battles on aircraft of Tier III or higher count for the mission
  • Must be flying Japanese, American or British aircraft

 

Mission 4: Sturmoviks over Berlin
Goal Destroy at least five ground targets and survive the battle playing in standard battle mode.
Reward +10% XP for the battle
Conditions
  • Only battles on aircraft of Tier III or higher count for the mission
  • Must be flying a Soviet attack aircraft

The special and missions both run from Friday 2nd May at 08:00 until Monday 5th May at 07:30 CEST (GMT+2).
