New equipment and consumables are divided into three periods, divided by tier groups:
- Period I (Tiers I - IV)
- Period II (Tiers V - VII)
- Period III (Tiers VIII - X)
For example, Stock Collimator Sight II can only be used with planes of Tier V - VII.
