20:05 The Wargaming Crew Departs To Rest Before The Next Day
The time has come for the Wargaming crew to return to the hotel. Every day, the Wargaming Crew arrives and leaves in this amazing Wargaming-branded bus. As it drives down the streets, it attracts a lot of attention as the sides are decorated with exceptional, highly-detailed World of Tanks and World of Warplanes art. Exhausted but proud after yet another succesful day at gamescom, the crew boards and leaves.
See you tomorrow!
19:47– eSports Stage
The results of the World of Tanks Pro League pre-playoffs are in! Thanks to the withdrawal of Team Dignitas, DeNova.WoT are through to the next stage!
15:00 Main Stage
World of Tanks Xbox 360 Edition is on the tongues of many players coming to our booth. The main question is “how is this different than the PC version?” Our Wargaming West staff rushes to the stage with a great presentation explaining the design and features of World of Tanks for the Xbox 360 console.

14:00 Main Stage
Our players get the unique opportunity to take a look behind the scenes of the World of Tanks development process! Our 3D Designer Vladimir Pasiutin, supported by Producer Romain Mardot and our Community Product Specialist Michael Broek, demonstrates how the vehicles in World of Tanks are designed, programmed and implemented in the game.
13:15 - ESL Stage
The first match finished with Evil Panda Squad rolling over mousesports with force, forcing them down to the loser’s bracket. This slightly unexpected one-sided match was both an outstanding show and also only the beginning of the day’s surprises. We have found out that the winner of the first season, Team Dignitas, will not arrive for the final!
This means that a small change to the bracket progression needs to be introduced. The core system of the tournament will remain a double elimination system, but there will be a small tweak at the end. To summarise, Virtus Pro will play against the loser of the loser's final of the day.
Remember to check the results on our dedicated page !
13:10 CEST Backstage

Dissection of a Goodie Bag
Many of you are probably wondering about the contents of our legendary goodie bags. We are always happy when we can satisfy the curiosity of our players, so we charmed the beautiful yet deadly Guardians of the Goodie Bag Vault to let their guard down.
Risking our lives (and probably a couple of lawsuits), we managed to snatch one goodie bag and have dissected it in the safety of the staff room. Here are the treasures kept within:
A great treat this year is the limited edition T-shirt, which can only be obtained through playing one of our games at the booth, thus earning the mythical goodie Bag.
There are also some stylish accessories to go with the T-shirt: there is a classy Wargaming key ring, a one-of-a-kind World of Warplanes Gamescom 2013 dog tag and a neat Word of Warplanes mousepad!
In addition, you will also get a special collectible tank and a plane you can assemble within seconds to send on the wind to conquer the skies!
Last but not least, you can also enjoy some great discount codes on computer equipment and of course bonus codes for both World of Tanks and World of Warplanes! Please note that these codes are one of a kind and will not be available outside of Gamescom!
Come and visit us to get your goodie bag!
09:30 Wargaming Booth
Another day at gamescom has just begun, and already our booth is under siege! |
|
Many players woke up early to be the first on the gamescom battlefields! |
The queue is growing as more players come to visit us, but Filip “Piporaz” and Jiri “MrKatana” are making sure everybody gets the chance to play! |
Our Master of Ceremonies, Muhsin “muhso” is always happy to meet the players in person… |
… and Martin “HolzbeinJack” is not letting anyone leave empty-handed! |
Saturday is the busiest day of the whole of gamescom, and so we are prepared to meet and welcome even more visitors! There will be more contests, events and opportunities to meet our developers so don’t hesitate to come and visit us!

So many questions! |
Let’s get things in order! |
Mo getting focused on translating. |
Each question is rewarded – come grab your goodie! |
The Life of a Wargaming Goodie Bag
1) The life of a goodie bag begins in very humble conditions, with thousands of them being shipped to us at gamescom in one of these containers. | 2) Next up is the assembly line! Every bag is being hand-packed to make sure it contains all the items that Wargaming fans are waiting for.
3) The big trek from backstage to the main trade show area begins. It’s a long way but well worth it! | 4) Before they can be handed out, all goodie bags arrive at “Julie’s Counter”. She is in charge of distribution and makes sure nobody goes away empty-handed.
5) The last step! A happy fan just received his goodie bag. |
11: 20 - Central Stage
When developers Oleg Gotnyan and Miroslav Baranenko step on stage, World of Warplanes fans all around the world can expect the hottest scoops! This time Miroslav takes place behind his desk to walk us through a live 3D-modelling process of a plane for the game, and not just any plane – a Supermarine Spitfire! It is the world premiere of British planes at gamescom!
As he shows the crowd how he puts the finishing touches on the engine part of the aircraft, Oleg answers more questions from fans in the audience. In just 20 minutes, the deed is done and the Spitfire model is complete. Ready for take-off, Pilots!
11:00 The Semifinal of the World Cyber Games German Qualifier has started!
The second day of Wargaming at gamescom kicks off with the WCG Qualifier, and RAGE confronting Odem Mortis. The teams of seven were already at our booth a long time before the match even started, preparing their stations and warming up their engines to reach most efficient performance during their gameplay. The teams are remaining cool, despite a trip to China to represent Germany at the WCG being up for grabs.
